Day 1: Arrival by ferry | 19.06.2025

 

Independently organized journey to Kiel.

18:00 - 20:00 Check in on the “DFDS Seaways” ferry in Kiel.

22:00 Crossing with the “DFDS Seaways” ferry from Kiel to Klaipeda. Overnight stay on the ferry.

Day 2: Arrival to Klaipeda | 20.06.2025

 

19:30 Arrival in Klaipeda. Meeting with the German or English-speaking tour guide at the ferry port. Transfer to the Curonian Spit, to Nida. Check in at the 3* Hotel. After that, you will have free time at your disposal.

Day 3: Walk through the fishing village of Nida | 21.06.2025

 

Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Relaxed walk through the picturesque fishing village of Nida. You will visit Thomas Mann's former summer house, the Protestant church and the ethnographic cemetery next to the church with its wooden gravestones. Of course, a visit to the High Dune and the sundial decorated with runic symbols is a must. Overnight stay at the 3* Hotel.

Day 4: Dune hike, fishing village Juodkrante | 22.06.2025

 

Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Hike through the Nagliai Nature Reserve with its villages buried under sand and spectacular dunes. In the fishing village of Juodkrante, we take a walk on Witches' Hill, which immerses us in the world of Lithuanian fairy tales and legends with its artistically carved wooden figures. The sculpture trail then leads us past the brick church and along the shore to explore the old villa district and Amber Bay. Today's tour ends with a visit to one of the largest cormorant colonies in Lithuania. Return to Nida. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.

Day 5: Boat trip to the Nemunas Delta and visit to the Vente ornithological station | 23.06.2025

 

Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Today you will go on a boat trip to the Memel Delta. On the way, you will experience the unique birdlife and very rare aquatic plants on the water. Visit the Vente ornithological station, which is the oldest of its kind in Europe (founded in 1929). Afterwards - to the fish restaurant. A Curonian fish soup cooked over an open fire awaits you here. Back to Nida.

In the evening - preparations for St. John's Night. Fire runs and fire jumps, sun dances, singing and torchlight processions. A lively celebration that lasts until the early hours of the morning. Overnight stay in the 3* Hotel.

Day 6: Leisure day | 24.06.2025

 

Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. There are countless different things you can do on the Curonian Spit! First of all - just do nothing, relax and get rid of stress, read, walk, hike, cycle or discover other corners of the beautiful peninsula. Overnight stay at the 3* Hotel.

Day 7: Sightseeing tour of Palanga and Klaipeda | 25.06.2025

 

Breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Meeting with your German or English-speaking tour guide at the guesthouse. Drive to Palanga. Visit to the largest amber museum in Lithuania, walk in the beautiful botanical garden, tour of the spa town with promenade and pier, visit to the old pharmacy and the Church of the Holy Spirit.

Opportunity for a lunch break. The tour then continues to Klaipėda. On a tour of the old town, visit the Ännchen-von-Tharau fountain in front of the old town theater and other places worth seeing in the town: the oldest town post office, the famous Artists ' Courtyard, old half-timbered buildings and the Friedrich-Passage, the historic town hall and much more. Transfer to the ferry port in the late afternoon. Check in to the ferry at 20:00. Departure for Kiel at 22:30.

Day 8: Kiel | 26.06.2025 

 

After a relaxing day at sea on board, you will reach Kiel in the evening at around 18:00.
