Trip programme:

Day 1: Arrival

Welcome to Riga! The journey full of new experiences begins! Meet your guide/driver at the airport, transfer to the hotel, check in and enjoy free time.
Day 2: Get to know Riga

After breakfast, you will be met by your local guide for a tour of Riga. The city centre was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997 for its historic centre and impressive Art Nouveau architecture, which you will visit. The afternoon is at guests’ leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
 
Day 3: Riga – Rundale – Vilnius

After breakfast we continue to the Rundale Palace, a former residence of the Duke of Courland and one of the most amazing Baroque Palaces in the Baltic States. Together with the guide you will explore both the palace and beautiful grounds of the park. Next stop – the Hill of Crosses near Siauliai, an atmospheric place of pilgrimage and a symbol of defiance. This is a unique place in the world, so a visit here is a must. In the afternoon, you arrive to Vilnius. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Vilnius – Trakai – Vilnius

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Vilnius with your guide, during which you will visit the medieval as well as modern parts of the city. Places of interest that you will see on this tour: the University ensemble, the church of St. Anne, the Cathedral, the Gediminas hill, which offers breath-taking views of the city, the church of St. Peter and St. Paul and many more. In the afternoon, a trip with your guide to Trakai. Trakai was a former medieval capital in the 14th century. The central monument is the Gothic castle, built on the island of Lake “Galve”. Restored in the mid-twentieth century, this red brick castle is unique in Eastern Europe. Travel back to Vilnius in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Vilnius – Kaunas – Klaipeda

After breakfast, travel with your guide to Kaunas , the city of green hills and medieval churches. Sights that you will visit on the tour: Town Hall Square, Church of the Holy Trinity, The House of Perkunas, Kaunas Castle, The Church of Vytautas, Zaliakalnis Funicular, Pazaislis monastery and many more. The journey continues to Klaipeda, where you will visit a small, but charming old town with its Theatre Square dominated by the statue of a girl Ann from Tharau, narrow alleyways with attractive courtyards and art galleries. Check in and overnight stay at the hotel in Klaipeda.
Day 6: Day tour to the Curonian Spit

Today you will be taken to the beautiful, magical Curonian Spit, which is known for its untouched nature with huge moving sand dunes, thatched fishermen's houses and endless sandy beaches. In the village of Nida, you will visit the High Dune with sundial, the evangelical church with ethnographic cemetery and the famous Thomas Mann House. A short hike through the nature reserve with its buried under the sand villages and the unique beauty of the Dead Dunes. In the village of Juodkrante, you will explore the cormorant colony, the legendary Hill of Witches and the Amber bay. Travel back to Klaipeda. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Klaipeda – Palanga – Kuldiga – Jurmala

Morning departure to Palanga, the summer capital of Lithuania. You will visit amber museum in the former palace of Count Tyszkiewisz, have a walking tour through the beautiful Botanic Garden, explore wooden architecture and take a amazing view from the Palanga’s Sea Pier. The tour continues via Liepaja to Kuldiga. Here you will see the widest waterfall in the Baltic states, the old brick bridge over the River Venta and a lot of typical architecture of Kuldiga. Afterwards drive to Jurmala, a seaside resort in Latvia, known for its mild sea climate, white dunes and endless beaches, elegant summer villas as well as historic wooden buildings. Check-in into hotel. Farewell dinner at the beach restaurant. Overnight stay at a hotel in Jurmala.
Day 8: Visit to Jurmala and the journey back home

Depending on flight times, free time in Jurmala.  Transfer to Riga airport. Return flight.

The price will be calculated within the concrete booking details, depending on the travel date, availability of flights, number of participants and location/category of the accommodation.
